CAN, representing more than 1900 CSO in more than 130 countries considers Solar Radiation Management as a dangerous and misleading atmospheric intervention because it does not reduce carbon nor any other pollution, it does not reduce high water consumption by fossil fuels and does nothing to curtail ocean acidification. Further it does nothing for an equitable and fair energy transition globally and locally.
