Our only chances of survival are if we stop treating nature with a mechanistic lens, and sustain the evolution of life by recognizing it as an organic, self-catalyzing process that can only be disturbed or disrupted by trying to engineer it. Since we do not know what the exact consequences of solar geoengineering on life will be, it is a risk we cannot afford to take.
